Duncan McCombie, appointed as Group chief executive of YES Energy Solutions CIC in 2016, has helped the business provide fuel poverty alleviation support for over 5,000 households in the last financial year. He is dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and lowering householder’s fuel bills across Great Britain, all whilst creating a Green, Great and Gracious company culture. Duncan has carved out a diverse career in the energy efficiency and water sectors, working at the Energy Saving Trust and Thames Water, building experience in strong governance and growth strategies which he has since applied at YES Energy Solutions. Promoting customer expectations and needs, he is Chair of the Customer Engagement Group focussed on National Grid Electricity Distribution’s RIIO-ED2 business plan and chair of the National Energy Action / Northumbrian Water, Water Poverty Advisory Group.

Before founding the EEA, Gary was instrumental in the creation of the Energy Efficiency Awards, which he has successfully managed for the past decade. These awards have become a cornerstone of the industry, highlighting and celebrating excellence in energy efficiency. With a professional background in publishing and sales, Gary brings a wealth of experience in communication and stakeholder engagement. His expertise has been pivotal in driving the success of the initiatives he leads. In his personal life, Gary is an ardent supporter of Liverpool FC and a dedicated cricket enthusiast.

Kenneth Campbell is Chairman of the Energy Efficiency Association CiC, Co-Founder of the National Energy Efficiency Awards and Director of Campbell Braybrooke Ltd. As Association Chairman, Kenneth has a particular interest in new energy efficient technologies,investment in and funding for energy efficiency, supply chain delivery, and skills and training for the energy efficiency sector. Kenneth has Bachelor of Science degree from Glasgow University where he studied Computer Science along with Biochemistry and Physiology.

Vice Chair East Cambridgeshire District Council Prior to being elected as a District Councillor in 2023 Keith previously held the position of Industry Stakeholder Manager at Ofgem where he worked in the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (DRHI) team. During his time at Ofgem Keith built strong relationships with a wide range of manufacturers, installers, certification bodies, the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and leading trade associations. Before this Keith spent five years working for the Carbon Trust helping major organisations develop strategies to reduce their carbon emissions, become more energy efficient and lower their energy costs. Prior to his career in energy and the environment, Keith spent over 25 years working for leading US computer manufacturers including Unisys, Hewlett Packard, Compaq and DEC working his way up to Global Account Director responsible for several major accounts in the fields of logistics, telecommunications and the public sector.

With over a decade of experience within the renewable and energy efficiency arena, Paul is well versed in all things that can help us to achieve Net Zero together. He has a passion for working to redress fuel poverty and bring innovative, renewable technologies to market. His experience spans from working in the public sector as project lead to secure PSDS funding for a council, deploying Solar Thermal and PV to a leisure centre, serving as a retained Energy Manager for a large Academy Group, to running his own Energy Consultancy practice advising businesses how they can reduce carbon and reduce costs. More recently, Paul has joined the team at Barton Knight Energy to help grow and develop the renewable division of this long-established electrical business. In his spare time, he is proud to be a trustee for the United Nations Association Eastbourne, and Eastbourne Charity Land Trust.

Lord Porter has devoted more than 20 years to leadership in local government, with deep expertise in planning, housing and regulatory frameworks. As Leader of South Holland District Council from 2003 until 2023, he guided local policy and the delivery of housing and infrastructure in a rapidly evolving local government context. He served as Chair of the Local Government Association from 2015, acting as a voice for councils across England and Wales, helping shape national policy, lobbying government and supporting local authorities in governance, planning, service delivery and housing matters. In recognition of his contributions, he was elevated to the House of Lords in October 2015 as Baron Porter of Spalding, CBE. Lord Porter has a strong academic foundation with a BA from De Montfort University and a Postgraduate Certificate from Canterbury Christ Church University, reinforcing his commitment to evidence-informed governance. He brings to SPL a rare combination of hands-on local government leadership and sustained strategic policy influence, well-suited to advising on planning reforms, housing strategy, devolution and regulatory change.

Having spent over 16 years within the domestic energy efficiency industry, Andrew has been involved with the design, development, and delivery some of the largest decarbonisation and fuel poverty projects. Having previously worked in a business development capacity for Eaga, Carillion Energy Services, CertiNergy and as National Sales Manager at E.ON, Andrew has worked across numerous energy efficiency initiatives including CERT/CESP, ECO1,2.3 and 4 and the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund and Local Grant. He currently works as a Business Development Lead for Veolia Building Energy Services, helping public sector clients develop large-scale decarbonisation projects. These clients include the NHS, Universities, Colleges, Schools, and the Defence Sector. This work also involves securing third-party/public funding to support delivery.

Kelly Crews holds the role of National Head of Decarbonisation within Willmott Dixon, where she provides insight, expertise and knowledge across the decarbonisation market, supporting customers with the development of decarbonisation plans, identifying measures that help organisations cut carbon, manage energy use and meet broader environmental/net zero delivery objectives. Working collaboratively with customers and internal teams through an end-to-end delivery solution, she helps provide a clear roadmap for the decarbonisation of estates and buildings, while identifying and unlocking applicable external funding opportunities. Her work is centred on translating decarbonisation ambitions into tangible outcomes across building portfolios, helping customers navigate the complexities of decarbonisation at scale from initial identification and prioritisation of buildings and estates for investment, working collaboratively with key stakeholders through each stage of delivery, including design development, on-site delivery and post-monitoring solutions. Before joining Willmott Dixon, Kelly built extensive expertise, knowledge and delivery experience by working over 20-years within the public sector, working in leadership positions across healthcare and local government, managing a cross-cutting portfolio including decarbonisation, net zero delivery, EV infrastructure development, adaptation, mitigation and biodiversity, developing and leading ambitious net zero strategies, investment grade audits and decarbonisation delivery programmes, supported by the identification and delivery of successful external funding awards, driving decarbonisation investment across the public estate.
